ONE MORE WEEK!!
Like the title, we have a week left till winterbreak!! woo!! i am soo excited because im leaving for new york on saturday next week and staying till the 23rd! this past week in english has been a breeze because all we have basically done is review and talk about different types of mystery. Then on friday we watched the original "When A Stranger Calls" and i gotta say...... im glad they remade it haha. The whole movie started out basically average, and i know it was the original and all but it was only like what, 20 minuits long? plus she didnt even come face to face with the stranger! how stupid is that! in the newer one she was actually chased around the house and was actually fighting the stranger. But hey, its the older version so i shouldnt bag on it. Now onto my weekend, so far, ive been chillain at my dads house and we knocked off all holiday shopping and i went driving today because i just got my temps last week. The test was easy and i cant wait to get my license! So this week should also be easy and i hope that we dont have to do these blog things during winter break, but you know mr. potter......

well here i am at a computer at 10:00 on a sunday night. the past week has gone by sooooo sloow!! probably because im soo excited for new york on the 18th! its gonna be soo fun!! Also im getting my temps tomorrow FINALLY!! Im pretty sure my mom can stop hasseling me on studying that book nonstop because i definatly know my stuff haha. well i hope i got this in on time :D
Nightjohn was a book about a slave girl living in a hut on a plantation. At first, sonya was describing her life living on the plantation and how rough she had it with the beatings and the mal nutrition. Then a new guy named Nightjohn came to living on the plantation, and sonya described how terrible skin he had from whippings and dogs. Throughout the book, sonya would trade nightjohn some tabacco in exchange for a letter of the alphabet. Each letter she got, made her more excited when it came to learning how to read and write. As the story went on, people living in sonyas hut would be beaten and even killed and she would describe the pain they went through, and when her mom found out that nightjohn had been teaching her letters, she got really mad because black people in her time were not supposed to know that. so she asked what he was doing here and he explained how he was free in the north for a while and finally came back to the south so he could go to different plantations and teach them how to read and write.
Malcom X was about a awkward black boy that grew up in michigan. In the first part of the book, malcom had been giving up on himself saying that he was jealous of his brother in boxing and he was too awkward to box. So he decided to act out for attention, and as that plan went south, his parents sent him to a reform school in Alma michigan where he felt that he could really fit in. even though he was one of two black people there, he was top of the class in most to all of classes and was even elected as the class president. Then finally when his teacher asked him what he wanted to be, he said that he wanted to be a lawyer. This didnt sit well with the teacher and his teacher explained that he should set realistic goals for himself that dont have being black as a restriction. I think that if his teacher had supported his decision in becoming a lawyer, he would hae been successful and became a good lawyer.

In the movie, they were driving through texas on their way to a debate when they drove past a negroe that had been tied up and burned at the stake. soo far so good
like the title, my 2nd nine weeks is just gliding by right now. Math is easy, science is cake, and even speech is really easy right now. Lets just say ive been counting down the days until christmas break and i gotta say, ITS UNDER 20 DAYS!!!! so yeah im just gonna work hard to end this year (2010) off positivly. This weekends been kind of weird for me though like on friday, i went down to OSU campus with the family for a chili cookoff haha. I gotta say, the people there really dont have trouble when it comes to making good chili. So with a bellah full of chili, i went to bed around midnight and got up around 10 the next morning and said goodbye to my grandparents that left and just chilled for awhile. at around 3:30, i went to my church for youthgroup until 11 which consisted of games, fort rapids for 2 hours, gameworks for 2 hours, and cicis so i had a good night. As for today, i went back to church and we finished off the fall fling (thats what it was called) and i went home and took a 3 hour nap. So overall ive had a pretty fair but weird weekend. I actually just got done creating a christmas list my parents kept bugging me about, which consisted of the basics; games, clothes, and cash <---- ALL I NEED. so yeah... To wrap it all up, Im looking foward to christmas break, ate alot of chili, and is breezing through school. What the heck?
Stress out time...... Anybody else with me when i say that Mrs. Oquinn giving us 4 days to complete a research speech is a terrible thing to do to someones school life? i mean, mr. potter gave us around a month to complete a research paper and now i have to do one due tomorrow. Hopefully the sub was mistaken last friday and that our works cited, final outline, and entire speech is not due tomorrow because we had only been working on this for 4 days! yeah this definatly strikes my mental capacity pretty hard because this speech is the first 2nd 9 weeks grade :(. just wish me luck :(. now onto english. the 12 angry men play isnt bad probably because i get to speak as the amazing 10th juror, but i already know the boy is not guilty. This is because mr. potter obviosly gave out the answer when we were just starting the book and he said "i still think hes guilty and ive read it like 20 times" that just screams NON GUILTY, but its still fun to read based on the in depth argument im having with my class mates. Now onto music, so my guitar lessons are done :( so ive just been playing acoustic while learning Into the Night by Santana and Chad Kroeger. its a pretty good song and gets stuck in your head pretty easily. Black ops comes out on tuesday! sounds nerdy? IDK! cuz it cost me 67 bucks so im not gonna stop playing it next weekend when i go to my dads house! based on MW2, this one must be better because the last cod game got old real fast, basically the online portion of mw2 was all about "the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer" but they said they fixed that problem, so we will see about that. now im debating on starting ym speech, its just extremely overwhelming that i literally might just not do it right now. who knows, mabye ill get a good start on my speech due TOMORROW....... somebody help me

HERE IT IS, the blog post! gotta love em. I honestly dont want to do these all year because alot of the time i cant think of what to type about. Lets see here............. well im not done typing my final copy for my research paper which should be done before tomorrow, no speechs, no homework otherwise so i have had a pretty chill weekend so far. im still figuring out how to handle my money so i can get a new phone and save for a car at the same time. i should be getting my temps in a couple weeks which is pretty exciting even though driving gets old after a while. ive noticed that alot of people are now reading "to kill a mockingbird" which makes me laugh because we also had to read that but we got to do it earlier :D. now onto music..... my 8th and last week for my guitar lessons at vineyard church comes to an end tomorrow :( but hopefully i win the tuner that he promised to anyone whos practiced the most. its pretty cool actually, it only works with metal strings. it doesnt use sound, it just uses two strobe lights that you shine on the string and when you pluck the string, you keep adjusting the string until the two lights are even and not going crazy anymore. well that concludes my blog for this weekend. Well here i gooo.....
what happens to be one of the finest cases of procrastination finally comes up to bat. Lets see here.. after getting my usb stolen/ lost, ive had to re type my entire final copy of my outline which i have to finish it right now, and i have to write my first two paragraphs, lets just say ill be in this exact chair for a awhile. I have finally gotten the whole idea on this research paper. What i mean is that im pretty sure ive got it under control quality wise. Oh wait.... this just in, i just now remembered that i also have a speech due tomorrow! YAH HAPPY DAY! i guess i should have gotten some sleep this weekend. Well im babysitting right now so i guess while the kids are watching tv, ill try and knock down all my homework obstacles by 8:30. Doesnt sound like alot but i still have to feed them dinner and put them to bed so that knocks my time off by half an hour. i didnt even remember my whole blog post until i sat down a few minutes ago cuz i was about to get started on my speech and research paper. so ive been sick the past two days and now im totally lost on this researching paper. First off, why do we have to research a trial? why cant we research something more interesting like animals or famous people. But, i feel like im going to need some guidence. So do we need 5 notes per source card or what? Do we need to print out the sources? We need five sources, but 4 of them from databases? ive checked on the databases and there is barely 4 sources that i can use. I found two websites but for some reason i can only use one. Lets just all agree that i am not liking school right now. French sucks, speech is stressful, and biology is boring. i know i know. Why am i complaining? well im15 years old in highschool so its not surprising lol. I guess i should get started on some sort of homework like french or even english. And are our blog responses due friday?

Sleep? psh nahhhhh
so here i am finally posting my blog for the day. its not procrastination till around 10 tonight but i thought id get it in a little earlier. Im a little confused on the research paper but by the way mr. potter showed me in class friday i should be smart enough to figure it out. Theres my english section hahaha. Now about my weekend, on friday i walked up to the vistas from school with kelbey, jj, and charlie. From there me and charlie went to mr. wok to get some free grub (his parents love me) and i walked over to marks. At marks i chilled with dylan, jj, kelbey, matt, mark, and tiffani. We didnt do much except talk and play xbox. Dylan ordered us some pizza at like 1 and pretty much just fell asleep at that point. With only 3 hours of sleep i woke up and my parents took me and the younger sibs to the pumpkin farm. Wasnt really fun but it was nice to spend time with the family. When we finally got home, we all sat in the familyroom and watched Alien (A 70's alien horror film), but of course i fell asleep. I finally woke up around 6 and ate dinner. It was about 7:15 so i decided to get ready for homecoming. Homecoming was more fun than i had though, i mean they were fun last year but this was way better. Afterwards me, trea, david, canyon, melisa, and jason went to davids house for a little after party and just chilled till i went home at 1. went to church the next morning and went to lunch. That brings me to the now as im typing my long useless story for english. Well that concludes the post that no one but mr. potter will read. PEACE OUT!!!

english stuff 6
at my dads house on my computer, Ive been reading some of this weeks posts for some other people and why do you guys love the ending so much? Dont tell me you didnt see it coming? i mean come on, scout and jem were getting followed by an oak tree, in front of the radley place, by a guy who said "i will get you atticus! even if it takes the rest of my life!" obviously he wasnt going to attack atticus, he was going to attack what atticus loved the most. OF COURSE boo radley saved the day by killing mr. ewell because there was no other way they could have related him to the story other than some creepy guy. What bothered me is that jem didnt get to officially see boo radley when he spent alot of his childhood wondering about the creepy white guy. But hey thats just me, the book was OK but it didnt flow as much as i wanted it to, it went from boo radley to the trial and then back to boo radley, i dont know, but i dont understand how people are like "that book was amazing! so rad dude! yeah totally boss!" ummmm no not pour moi. well hopefully this is enough for 15 minutes of typing, i might add more tomorrow....but who knows -_-

English stuff 5
Read the rest of chapter 20 today, hopefully ill finish the book this weekend so english will be a breeze haha. Today was alright, but im a little stressed over the speech i have to give on monday and the new speech that is due this wednsday! i hate speech, also french, other than those two classes, my day goes by pretty fast. Got all B's and an A on my progress report. Pretty good for me but im hoping above a 3.0 this quater (mabye even semester). So im just chillain like a villlain at me house with no plans for this weekend. So anyone come hit me up and brighten my two days of freedom before school again monday. I cant wait till newyork this christmas! i love new york soo much. im sure workin there can be a pain but touring around manhatten is the best feeling. I like big citys with lots of people for some strange reason and also the fact that if you live in manhatten, you litterally dont need a car, just buses, subways, or walking.

BLAHH
going to my dads house this weekend. In english today i read the rest of chapter 8 to get ahead which took skill to concentrate on reading while mr. potter was reading chapter 4. Mabye going to alvaros house sunday but other than that im expecting a pretty bland weekend. I better get my butt movin on this blog stuff cuz i havnt posted one thing this week and its due sunday! Just finished my outline and speech cards for my demonstrative speech in speech class. Im going to demonstrate how to restring a guitar (which is really simple lol). had a pretty good day today, basically did NOTHING alllllll day and clowned around in 8th period, as usual, troy makes study hall go by faster. We clown hardcore oh yeaaahhhh. Graeme knows what im talking about. Oh and stop callin us in study hall hersh or its goin downnnn >:(

Think im gonna start my essay today after dinner, ive been busy all day today and yesterday so later is my best bet. I think im gonna write my essay about how boredom leads to trouble. Seems like my kind of topic because im bored at least 50% of the day so we will see how it turns out. What was with todays poetry questions? To me they made NO sense, i dont think im diggin this poetry nonsense. Why cant people just read and like poetry, i dont need to go into full exact detail of every line in the poem, but thats just me. Still not understanding this writing on blog stuff so i guess ill be doing this every day till sunday just to be on the safe side of things. What are we doing tomorrow? I dont know but i hope its not poetry.

I thought todays class was confusing. First we didnt have a quiz because Michigan won and we also have to type for 15-30 minutes on our blogs. he did say that we can divide and conquer the work throughout the week but im still having trouble figuring out what to type about.
